A Delightful 15th Century Country House Hotel in the heart of Wales's beautiful countryside. Ty Mawr is a converted farmhouse set in an acre of its own land. This is mostly laid to lawn and flowerbeds with the River Marlais running through the bottom of the garden. The farmhouse was tastefully renovated over 30 years ago and many of the original features still remain - thick stone walls, open fires, old wooden beams, tiled floors, etc. All rooms in the hotel, apart from the bar, are non-smok

Nestling in the Cothi Valley, on the edge of the stunning Brechfa forest, Ty Mawr is an ideal base for visiting the multitude of gardens, castles and historic towns in the area. Aberglasney and The National Botanical Garden of Wales are both a short drive from Ty Mawr Hotel as are Carreg Cennan Castle, Dylan Thomas'' Boathouse at Laugharne, The Dolaucothi Roman Gold Mines, Llanstephan Castle. Set in a rural but accessible location, Ty Mawr is less than a 30 minute drive from the end of the M4.
